Well despite worries over ticket sales we actually had a full cathedral for the Rachmaninov Vespers. It was the perfect venue for such a piece, with the lovely acoustics adding to the haunting melodies. The interspersion of the choral work with the Mozart cello pieces worked really well.
Then we sang with the Leeds city youth orchestra for their performance of Henry V. What a truly incredible bunch of kids those are, with some barely able to see over their instruments, and yet they produced a fantastic sound with hardly a wobble in note or entrance and fielded a full orchestra including two harps and a harpsichord.
On now to preparing for June when we have 3 big performances. Do try to join us for these concerts. More details on the events pages.
