The Phil has been delighted to accept an invitation from Leeds to sing in two extra concerts this year.
The first in March is a collaboration with the city of Leeds Youth Orchestra under the baton of Dougie Scarfe and members of other choirs to sing William Walton’s Henry V.
The second comes along at the end of the season to mark the loss of many “Leeds Pals” in the battle of the Somme in 1916. We will perform Karl Jenkin’s Armed Man in collaboration with Mancheter Camerata under the baton of Ben Guernon. We will be joined by the Leeds Festival Chorus and St Peter’s Singers.
