Well this season has certainly been busy, ending with four performances in just one week, but what a week.  Saturday the 1st July saw us at Chester Cathedral for a fantastic performance with the Chester Festival Chorus and Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra of Vaughan Williams Sea Symphony. We certainly swayed along to the waves on that seating rig.  The top row needed seat belts and oxygen masks.  But a lovely full house and atmosphere.  It was the Festival Choruses last performance and what a one to go out on.

Then on Friday we were off on tour “Up North” for the southern members of the chorus.  Hopefully they now appreciate why we like it up here.  The sun shone warmly on the A1 as we queued our way to Durham and continued for the rest of the weekend.  A fun filled three days of a social dinner, and then four rehearsals and three concerts in quick succession at the glorious Ushaw College and Beamish Museum.  Some works familiar and some not so !  Again thanks to members of the Durham Choral Society for making us welcome.

We will now put our feet up for a good few weeks rest and will be back together in the Autumn.
